Rich and I walked to this mark from HW3272, as it's less than a tenth of a mile southwest along Skyline Drive. It's located on a huge rock ledge just a few feet east of the road, making for an easy find. The mark appears to be in good condition and the datasheet description is accurate.
A report on the condition of this mark has been submitted to NGS, along with the following recovery note:
Disk is weathered but appears to be in good condition otherwise. Found as described.

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 2000 THE STATION MAY BE REACHED FROM THE JUNCTION OF US HIGHWAY 211 AND SKYLINE DRIVE AT THORNTON GAP BY GOING SOUTH ALONG SKYLINE DRIVE FOR 3.9 MILES TO AZIMUTH MARK NO. 1 ON THE LEFT AT PINNACLE OVERLOOK. CONTINUE SOUTHERLY ON SKYLINE DRIVE FOR 5.85 MILES TO THE STATION ON THE LEFT, ABOUT 500 FEET SOUTHWEST OF THE STATION, ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF SKYLINE DRIVE, SET IN A DRILL HOLE IN OUTCROPPING BEDROCK. IN OUTCROPPING BEDROCK.
