Recovered in good condition. The building now houses the Southwest Harbor branch of the First Bank. The mark is currently accessible and the designation was verified. Autonomous (non-corrected) handheld GPS coordinates for the mark are 44 16 47.9(N) 068 19 34.1(W).

DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1962 AT SOUTHWEST HARBOR. SET VERTICALLY IN THE NORTH CONCRETE FOUNDATION OF A BUSINESS BUILDING AT THE JUNCTION OF CLARK ROAD AND MAIN STREET (HIGHWAY 102). 45 FEET WEST OF THE CENTER LINE OF STATE HIGHWAY 102, 12 FEET WEST OF THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE BUILDING AND 6 INCHES ABOVE THE GROUND.

...I just pushed aside this plant and stepped into the alleyway, and I could see the mark immediately. |
...First Bank viewed from the intersection of Route 102 and Clark Point Road in Southwest Harbor. The mark is set into the foundation of the bank building on the north side and can be accessed via the alleyway to the right of the building. |
