DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1962 AT SOUTHWEST HARBOR. 0.65 MILE SOUTHEAST ON CLARK POINT ROAD FROM THE POST OFFICE AT SOUTHWEST HARBOR TO THE U.S. COAST GUARD DEPOT. SET IN A DRILL HOLE IN THE TOP OF A ROCK OUTCROP ABOUT 200 YARDS NORTH OF THE ENTRANCE TO THE DEPOT. 66 FEET SOUTHEAST OF THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF A 2 STORIED HOUSE, 32 FEET NORTH OF THE JUNCTION OF CLAIREMONT AND CLARK POINT ROADS, 30 FEET EAST OF AN APPLE TREE IN THE FRONT YARD OF HOUSE, 15 FEET WEST OF THE DRIVEWAY AND ABOUT LEVEL WITH THE ROAD.
