DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1944 (FLP) STATION IS A STANDARD TOPOGRAPHIC DISC, STAMPED LOP, 1944, SET IN DRILL HOLE IN LEDGE ROCK, LOCATED ON LOPAUS POINT, WHICH FORMS THE WESTERN SIDE OF BASS HARBOR. STATION IS ON THE MOST SOUTHERLY TIP OF POINT, 15.9 METERS S.S.W. OF CENTER OF SOUTH SIDE OF LOG CABIN, 2.7 METERS WEST OF EXTENDED LINE OF WEST SIDE OF LOG CABIN, 2 METERS S.W. OF GNARLED 24 IN EVERGREEN TREE, AND 10 METERS BACK OF MEAN HIGH-WATER LINE. APPROXIMATE ELEVATION ABOVE HIGH-WATER MARK 4 FEET.
